It's at the end of the process. That is, after I've used an electronic toothbrush. And then I swish for no less than half a minute. And usually, I can putter around at the sink and do other things and get a minute of swishing. And then I spit it out.
Depending on the concentration, obviously, there is a sensation in the mouth. I don't mind that sort of cleaning feeling and the slight residual taste. That very much depends on personal preference and on the concentration of the HOCl. But that's my routine. Other people may find that the residual bothers them.
There's a, what I would call a slightly astringent feeling. And so, they swish with just a peppermint mouthwash at the end to get that aftertaste placed by the flavored things, which on the whole don't do a lot of good, but they do taste better.
Yeah, I don't really think so. Obviously after I've cleaned my teeth, I'm not going to go straight into something dramatic in the way of a change and what's going on in my mouth. I'm usually doing this after I've had my morning breakfast or supper. think there is a residual effect, but one of the things we need to bear in mind about HOCl is its effect on what's going on in our mouth is very fast and very short.
