Chapter 2-- ORAL SWISHING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND BENEFICIAL USE OF HOCL -- Pioneer of HOCL Science with Jeffrey F. Williams

Well, I came to the conclusion that everybody should be doing it. We were seeing, as you know, lots of good benefits from HOCl applications on scalds and on wounds, effects on healing. It seemed to me, and I still believe it, that the simplest, the easiest way for people to benefit from hypochlorous acid was orally because oral health is a big problem worldwide. 

 

There are so many things that can go wrong. It's a portal obviously for all kinds of things that can affect your gum and tooth health. 

 

And it seemed to me then and it seems now that the best and easiest way for people to benefit from HOCl is to adopt a routine of oral care, swishing, twice a day. If there's a problem, go more frequently. I would go more frequently if I had a problem.

 

But twice a day, that's enough to start to see the benefits of what I call exogenous HOCl. There's HOCl you make yourself and then there's HOCl that comes in from the outside in a swish or a wound irrigation. And that's what brings the benefit to so many people so easily.

 

And I think in terms of public health, the impact should be global from an adoption of something so simple as this twice daily swish.
